          Lyft is offering free rides between some Metrolink stations and Ontario International Airport. The program covers up to $35 off each Lyft ride connecting ONT with one of the Metrolink stations at Montclair, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario-East using the Lyft code GOSBCTA. Passengers will have the option to use that Lyft code every month. (INT)

          Banning police have determined that a pedestrian struck and killed on Ramsey Street late Sunday was the victim of a hit-run driver. Investigators found injuries on Leron Sanders, 20, of Banning consistent with being struck by a vehicle. (INT)

          Corona police are trying to identify a man struck and killed by a freight train while walking on the BNSF tracks Saturday. The victim failed to respond to the train’s warning horn. (INT)

          Funding has been finalized for the $45 million Railroad Canyon Interchange on the I-15 at Lake Elsinore. The Riverside County Transportation Commission has approved the final $17.9 million in state funding. Bids will be sought this month with construction starting in the spring. (INT)

          An urban greening program will benefit the City of Riverside. The California Natural Resources Agency announced Friday it has awarded a $3,708,509 grant to convert a two-mile segment of the Gage Canal into a multi-use Class I bicycle and pedestrian trail. The canal transports irrigation water primarily for use in the city’s Green Belt. (INT)

          Two motorists killed Tuesday in a head-on collision in Victorville have been identified. They were David Ponciano Lopez, 28, of Victorville and Paul Alexander Friend, 62, of Phelan. The coroner said that Lopez lost control of his pick-up truck causing it to become airborne across the center divider of D Street and colliding with Friend’s mini-van. (INT)

          Although the Inland Empire Purchasing Managers?Index (PMI) decreased slightly, this is the second consecutive month indicating economic growth in the manufacturing sector and economy as a whole. About three-quarters (76%) of purchasing managers believe that the local economy will stay the same over the next three months, according to the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino.           With the wildfire season subsiding, the Forest Service is taking advantage of cooler, wet weather to do controlled burns. Several are planned in the coming weeks including three in the Big Bear area beginning Friday. Others covering hundreds of acres will follow in the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mountains. (INT)

          A search is intensifying on Mt. Baldy for a missing Orange County hiker. Sreenivas "Sree" Mokkapati, 52, of Irvine got separated from three other hikers on Sunday. They started their trek from the Village at Bear Flats to the Mt Baldy Summit. The area is covered in snow from the Thanksgiving Day storm. (INT)

          Four members of the San Bernardino City Council up for re-election next year will face a gauntlet of challengers. Eleven have qualified to face incumbents Henry Nickel, Jim Mulvihill, Bessine Richard and Juan Figueroa. Winners in the March 3rd primary must receive a majority of all votes case in each ward or the top two candidates will advance to the November 2020 General Election. (INT)

          Indoor homegrown marijuana on a large scale basis has appeared in Palm Springs. Police investigating the source of water flowing from the garage of a home on Chuperosa Road served a search warrant and discovered the residence housed 340 mature marijuana plants. Police said Monday that no suspects have been identified or arrested. (INT)

          Witnesses reported that a reckless driver spun out on the I-15 in Cajon Pass Sunday ultimately causing a multi-vehicle crash. One person was killed in the late Sunday morning incident. Earlier Friday night, A young Hesperia motorist was killed when he lost control of his car on the I-15 in Cajon Pass. The coroner said that Francisco Aguila IV, 19, died at the scene near Cajon Junction. Other fatal weekend traffic mishaps were reported in Redlands, at the Guthrie Interchange in Colton and in Corona. (INT)

          Calfire in San Bernardino County lifted burning restrictions Friday following a series of rainstorms. The restrictions had been in effect since last July. However, burning permits are still required and can be obtained at any local Calfire station. (INT)

          The sheriff’s Quality of Life campaign continued in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar with the round-up of twenty-six people Thanksgiving Week. Sheriff Chad Bianco said Thursday he is responding to citizen complaints of trespassing, public intoxication, illicit drug use, and petty theft. Those individuals contacted and arrested were offered resources for homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health. A similar crackdown in downtown Perris sent 20 people to jail for various criminal offenses. (INT)

          The Salvation Army has raised $72,000 to serve the needy in San Bernardino County. Last Christmas it assisted over 1000 families and delivered 5,500 toys to 1,400 children. (INT)

          Caltrans is removing boulders along Highway 74 above Lake Elsinore every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until December 19th between the hours of 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Morning and evening commuters will not be affected. The slope stabilization work follows a Thanksgiving holiday incident in which a vehicle crashed into a boulder killing a passenger. (INT)
